OFFICIAL INFORMATION REQUEST-JUSTICES OF THE PEACE 
Thank you for your email of 16 July 2019 asking if there have been any Justices of 
the Peace appointed in the Auckland Central electorate since 1 January 2019, if any 
Justices of the Peace have retired in Auckland Central electorate since 1 January 
2019 and the total number of  Justices in that electorate. 
I can advise that there have been no appointments made in the Auckland Central 
electorate so far this year. 
There has been one request for Justice of the Peace (Retired) status made so far 
this year. 
The Ministry of Justice database records there being currently 72 Justices in the 
Auckland Central electorate.
