I refer to your Official Information Act request dated 18 May 2019 where you requested information from
Hawke’s Bay District Health Board (HBDHB). Your questions and HBDHB’s response is provided below:
Could you please give the yearly dollar amount of funds Hawke's Bay District Health Board has given to
Māori health providers since 2012 to 2018. Please provide data in excel format if possible.
Please note HBDHB uses the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) definition of
Māori Provider which is:
a) a provider that is owned and governed by Māori and currently funded by the Ministry of Health,
District Health Board and Primary Health Organisation for the provision of health services; and
b) a provider that is delivering health and disability services primarily but not exclusively for Māori.
This definition excludes some providers who may focus provision of their services to Māori.
Attached is an excel file containing the information on funding provided by HBDHB to Māori Providers
for the period 2012 to 2018.
