I refer to your email dated 24 April 2019 requesting the following information from Canterbury DHB. 
Specifically: 
 
  I have tried and failed to locate data on the daily bed cost for a patient in ICU and CICU. Is it 
possible to gain a rough costing for both departments? 
 
The average daily cost of a patient in our ICU wards is $5,500, note CICU patients are included in ICU.  
The actual cost for a patient will vary depending on their acuity and nursing ratio for that patient.
