Has Auckland Transport completed a vehicle occupancy study of Pakuranga Road?
Traffic modelling was undertaken as part of this project.

What information and briefings relating to this Transit Lane have been provided to the Howick Local
Board and Howick Ward Councillors?
The Howick Local Board was provided with a formal presentation outlining our initial ideas and measures to
mitigate the traffic impact of construction in June 2018. This included the concept of the Park and Ride facility
at Lloyd Elsmore Park, temporary bus lanes on Pakuranga Road and other potential travel demand
management measures.
A complete update of the proposed T2 / Bus lane and Park and Ride measures to the Howick Local Board was
always planned for February 2019.
Howick Ward Councillors and the Howick Local Board Chair have been provided with regular updates and
briefings over the past 12 months. These updates were provided as part of the AMETI Eastern Busway Key
Stakeholder Forum.
Auckland Transport also provided the proposed suite of measures to Howick Ward Councillors and the local
Member of Parliament during a private meeting held in December 2018 along with details of traffic modelling
undertaken.

Is there a final design document for this transit lane that shows when\where it will operate?
We have provided a draft design; the final design is currently going through a pre-construction Road Safety Audit 
(RAS). We expect the RSA to be completed mid-late March 2019.  
If you would like a copy of the final design once we have completed the RSA please let us know and we will 
provide this once ready.
