Thank you for your email of 10 September 2019 requesting the following information under the 
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
I  am  requesting  the  route  alignment  for  the  light  rail  projects  south  and  west  in 
Auckland, as well as what the stations will be. 
 
If this is finalised yet I request the latest working alignment and stops. 
 
The  following  response  should  be  read  in  conjunction  with  the  NZ  Transport  Agency’s 
response to your earlier request made under the Act on 1 April 2019. 
 
Investigations  are  ongoing  and  at  this  time  no  decisions  have  been  made  regarding  route 
alignment  and  the  location,  and  number,  of  stations.  Accordingly,  your  request  has  been 
refused under section 18(e) of the Act as the information does not exist. 
 
The Government has requested both NZ Infra, a joint venture between the New Zealand Super 
Fund  and  Canada’s  CDPQ  Infra  group,  and  the  NZ  Transport  Agency  prepare  refined 
proposals for the Auckland Light Rail rapid transit corridor and future network integration.  
The Transport Agency aims to deliver a well-considered and detailed proposal for Government 
consideration, with the aim of providing an effective rapid transit solution that is sustainable 
and supports long term community benefits for Cabinet consideration early in 2020. 
Under section 28 of the Act you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review
