Official information request for MidCentral DHB Rural Adjuster Details 
I refer to your official information request dated 2 March 2019 for details 
regarding MidCentral DHB’s process for allocating, monitoring and reporting 
annual DHB rural adjuster funds.  
We have transferred part of your request to the Ministry of Health. Part of the 
information to which your request relates to the rural adjuster funding 
component of the population based funding formula (PBFF). Unfortunately, 
under the population based funding formula there is no funding line item 
specifically for a rural adjuster.  The Ministry of Health is more closely 
connected with the calculations of PBFF and will be able to provide context 
around how the rural adjuster works. In these circumstances, we are required 
by section 14 of the Official Information Act to transfer your request. 
You will hear further from the Ministry of Health concerning that part of your 
request
