After the opening prayer DC Superintendent PENNY opened the forum by having a round of brief introduction of al present.
DC continued elaborating the strategic intent of NZP as a whole and specifics for Waitemata District.
Regarding intel presentation Mr. RAMAN stated that it wil be good to know specific trends especial y around money laundering and Terrorism. Does NZ
has real threat of terrorism? Is it soft or extreme? Mr. RAMAN shared his concern that more radical groups and their families are arriving in NZ e.g. Tamil
Tigers/ Khalistan Movement. ISIS. New political leaders may unleash some threats for NZ. Invite Intel to present on Radical Groups, Terrorism and Money

DC gave update on Gandhi Nivas (GN) by expressing the need of GN in our District. She said that there was no facility in Auckland City or Waitemata
Districts for men who are issued a Police Safety Order, this led them to sleeping either in cars or park benches. This makes the victims very vulnerable
because offenders can go back to the victim at any time. Auckland City and Waitemata Districts have a combined population of approximately one million
people. On average there are 48 Family Harm cal s every 24 hours. 200 Police Safety Orders get issued every month out of which 7% are breached. The Te
Atatu house has only 8 beds. The service is open to al ethnicities. The advisory board members endorsed the chal enges and offered their support.
Front line staff training started on 12th of March. Cultural y appropriate council ors are appointed for the counsel ing service. Sahyaata the service provider
at GN is broadening their connections with the wider community.
Sergeant Terry Lee gave presentation on his journey as a police officer.
Board member Joanna Jensen wanted to know that how she can report crime/information around Korean community to police as in past Constable PARK
