Official Information Act 1982 (Act) – Request for information – ZX Security Ltd 
 
We acknowledge receipt of your email dated 9 January 2019 requesting the following information 
from the National Institute of Water & Atmospheric Research Limited (NIWA): 
 
(a)  whether NIWA has ever employed ZX Security Ltd to provide training in social media or open 
source intelligence, and 
(b)  if so, all information relating to, or provided by, ZX Security Ltd in relation to the above. 
 
With respect to part (a) of your request, a search of our records reveals that NIWA has never 
employed ZX Security Limited.  Accordingly, part (b) of your request is refused under section 18(g) of 
the Act as the information requested does not exist.  
 
Please note that under section 28(3) of the Act you have the right to complain to an Ombudsman in 
order to seek an investigation and review of this refusal.
