OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT REQUEST 
 
Thank you for your Official Information Act request to the Department of Conservation, dated 
9 January 2019. You requested the following:  
 
* whether your agency has ever employed ZX Security Ltd, to provide training in social media 
or open source intelligence. For the avoidance of doubt, I am not interested in any work done 
by them on network security or penetration testing. 
* If so, all information relating to, or provided by, ZX Security Ltd in relation to the above. 
 
Please find below the information you have requested. 
The Department is required to keep financial records for a period of at least seven years after 
the  period  to  which  they  relate.  Accordingly,  please  find  below  the  information  you  have 
requested from 1 July 2011: 
 
No payments have been made from the Departmental or Crown bank accounts to ZX 
Security Ltd from 1 July 2011 to 31 December 2018.  
 
You are entitled to seek an investigation and review of my decision by writing to an 
Ombudsman as provided by section 28 (3) Official Information Act.
