Thank you for contacting Auckland Transport on 17 August 2018 requesting footage for an 
18 NZ Bus along Great North Road to the City, at approximately 8.10 pm in relation to an 
incident.  
Auckland Transport does not supply CCTV footage directly to members of the public due to 
reasons of privacy.  
Your request is therefore declined under section 7(2)(a) of LGOIMA (Local Government 
Official Information and Meetings Act) as withholding the information is necessary to protect 
the privacy of natural persons.  
However, where footage of a specific incident or alleged crime is available, Auckland 
Transport provides footage to New Zealand Police upon receipt of a request from them. The 
footage relating to this incident has been saved. Therefore, we recommend that you contact 
the NZ Police about this matter, and confirm that CCTV data is available for this period. If 
you provide them our case number (CAS-841814-J1C5K5) that should assist them in 
processing the case.  
We trust the information has addressed the matters raised however, should you believe that 
we have not responded appropriately to your request, you have the right in accordance with 
section 27(3) of the LGOIMA to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman to seek 
an investigation and review in regard to this matter.
