Official information request – Thompson and Clark 
 
I refer to your official information request email dated 26 June 2018 which was in 
reference to your previous request of 19 June 2018 for “all information relating to, or 
provided by, Thompson and Clark Private Investigations between the years 2014-2018 held 
by your agency”. 
 
The Official Information Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your 
request no later than 20 working days after the day we received your request. 
Unfortunately, we have not managed to meet that time limit and we are therefore 
writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to 10 August 
2018.  
 
This extension is necessary to allow for external consultation on the material relevant 
to your request to be completed. 
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this 
decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at 
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
