RE Official information request CDHB 9803 
 
I  am  writing  to  acknowledge  receipt  of your  Official Information  Act  request seeking  the  following 
information from Canterbury DHB.  
 
The outsourced expenditure data you provided to MOH shows that Outsourced labour expenditure 
on Medical Personnel for March 2016 was a credit of $1942 ('000). Please clarify the following 
points clearly: 
 
1.  What is the reasoning behind this credit? Did CDHB outsource its own staff to an external entity 
and receive income? If it did, please specify how much it spent on outsourcing (if it did in that 
month) and how much it received by outsourcing its staff to other providers. In other words 
please break down the figure of $1942. 
 
2.  Or was there an error in reporting this amount to MOH. If there was please provide the updated 
amount for all of the 2015/16 (break down month by month) financial year for Outsourced 
Medical personnel. 
 
We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible and in any event no later than 28 
March  2018,  being  20  working  days  after  the  day  your  request  was  received.  If  we  are  unable  to
