Request for information 2018-004 – provision of additional 
information 
On 13 February 2018, Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) provided you with a 
response to a request for information made by you on 12 January 2018.  
You  were  advised  that  the  part  of  your  request  relating  to  the  proposed  GWRC  2018/19 
public  transport  rates  would  be  processed  once  the  document  had  been  finalised.    On  14 
March 2018, Council adopted proposed 2018/19 public transport rates to be consulted on. 
Transport rate model 
Please  find  attached  a  complete  spreadsheet  pertaining  to  the  calculation  of  the  public 
transport rates. Please note, this includes the entire GWRC rates model.  You can find the 
calculations specifically relating to public transport in ‘Tran’ sheet. We have not withheld 
any information on this spreadsheet.   
 
The  public  transport  rate  calculations  are  held  in  a  different  format  from  previous  years. 
This  is  because  GWRC  has  changed  its  funding  network  for  this  targeted  rate.  For  more 
information on the changes, please refer to the public consultation documents on Revenue 
and Financing Policy and the new proposed rates for public transport and flood protection:
