Thank  you  for  your  query  dated  26  October  2017  on  the  fyi.org.nz  website,  which  was 
partially transferred to the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs) on 13 November 2017.  
You have requested the following information under the Official Information Act 1982:  
3.  the  total  number  of  regular  entry  passengers  that  passed  border  security  (i.e.  any 
other passenger, such as visitor, citizen or crew) 
 
Using  the  most  recently  available  statistics  covering  the  12-month  period  between  1 
September  2016  and  31  August  2017;  a  total  of  6,541,761  regular  entry  passengers 
(excluding crew) have passed border security in New Zealand.
