We’re a bit stuck in that case - If we go back to 4pm I could dial you in from Phil’s speakerphone if you’d be
ok to take part that way?

Hi

I’m afraid I have a meeting at 8am in  New Lynn which I am required to attend. That means I can’t make it to city
before 10am – 10.30am

8am tomorrow is an option for Margaret Devlin to avoid the afternoon?

I will be in a strategy session so difficult to come out of that.
What about earlier in the morning, 7 or 8am?

Hi Margaret,

Thanks for coming back so quickly – I’ve just put 4pm tomorrow in Phil’s diary which should
work from your availability below and I’ll work this out with the Councillors.  I’m told no need
for Raveen and this stage.

I am unavailable today but could do tomorrow afternoon, after 3pm, if that worked.
Unfortunately I do not have any availability for Thursday.
Do you wish Raveen to attend this meeting?.

Regards
Margaret

Hi s 7(2)(a)  and s 7(2)(a)

Could you please arrange a meeting involving Penny Hulse, Linda Cooper, Greg
Presland , Margaret Devlin (Chair of Watercare) and the Mayor in relation to the
water treatment plant and the proposed site at Oratia.
This is fairly urgent so it would be great to get it in this week even if it is early or late
in the day.
Just a note that this is a meeting at the political governance level so there is no need
for Council or Watercare staff to attend at this stage. We can let you know if this
changes.
Cr Hulse will be leading the meeting.

Thanks, Fran

Good evening Penny

Just circling back and closing the loop.  Spoke with Simon.  In addition to Exhibition Drive, he did
take the opportunity to ask about Oratia.  Response was the consultation process is underway
and reconfirmed that no decision has been made.

Have a good weekend.

Suggested statement

In recent weeks, comments have been made by some in public meetings and in social media that
Watercare Services Limited was selling its Exhibition Drive land to private developers.  We have
spoken with the Chair and Chief Executive of Watercare and have confirmed that these statements
are not true.

The truth is that relevant Council officers have been in discussions with Watercare with a view to
have this parcel of land divested to Council if it were no longer required for water supply purposes.

The Exhibition Drive land is not being sold by Watercare to private developers.  It is disappointing
that misinformation has caused confusion and concern among our communities.

We are pleased that we can confidently put this to rest.
