In response to your Official Information Act (OIA) request of 24 February 2017 please see
below for our responses to your request.
Number of people that have performed a General Manager role as either an employee,
an ad interim contractor since inception of the institute. Please provide the names and
positions and the periods for which these individuals were in their role.
Callaghan Innovation has had a total of 21 people perform the role of General Manager or
Chief Financial Officer since its inception on 1 February 2013.
Five General Managers transferred from a predecessor organisation, Industrial Research
Limited, and a further five were contractors and/or fixed term employees retained to provide
transition support. Please refer to Annex One of this response for a detailed list.
Number of General Managers receiving a severance / redundancy payment
A total of six general managers received a severance/redundancy payment.
Total monetary amount of recruitment costs for these General Managers
A total of $554,518 has been spent on the recruitment of General Managers. This total includes
recruitment and search fees, travel, advertising cost and credentialing costs.
Total monetary amount of severance / redundancy payments for these General
Managers
The total amount of money paid in redundancy and severance is $431,978.
