We are unable to specify the number of maintenance and construction contracts let during or
applying in an average financial year to North Rodney only.  This is because our
maintenance contracts cover large geographical areas rather than being specific to a local
area.  Letting contracts in this way enables council to gain savings through economies of
scale.
Therefore, in accordance with section 17(g) of the Local Government Official Information and
Meetings Act 1987, information of the kind you have requested cannot be provided to you.

any such contracts let to contractors from within the North Rodney area.

Therefore, in accordance with section 17(g) of the Local Government Official Information and

contractors).

We are unable to provide a figure which would accurately reflect the number of Council

staff provide services to the whole Council area, including North Rodney.  Examples include,
but are not limited to, staff:
•  providing advice to the governing body and local boards;
•  preparing strategic plans such as the Long Term Plan; Unitary Plan and Local Board
plans;

infrastructure; IT; customer contact centres; civil defence and emergency
management;
