Re: Official Information Act Request  
 
I refer to your Official Information Act request received via transfer from the Ministry of Health 
on 29 October 2015 in which you specifically requested the following: 
 
Do they obtain any revenue directly or indirectly from car parking charges. 
When they began receiving any such revenue. 
The amount of money received each year in car parking charges. 
If charges are just levied against members of the public and/or staff are expected to 
pay too. 
If there are any exemptions or limits to the charges imposed at each site. 
 
Southern DHB has no paid car parks for patients or staff on any of their sites. We do however 
have a number of car parks available for use by both staff and patients which are free of charge. 
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review of our decision by the Ombudsman.
