Kia ora Andrew,

Please find options for the logo update attached.

  1. Option 1 being the absolute minimum
  2. Option 2 allowing some optimisation to have a full black version (standard for logos)
  3. Option 3 aligning font to Ideal Sans, font recommended for common Government approach.

Option 3 is my suggestion for discussed reasons:

  • All of Government approach
  • Being a licensed font makes it more secure
  • Distinguished logo better from body text

The attached is a first mock up, all versions would need some fine tuning, and option 3 is just a screenshot of the recommended font. There will be a reversed version in white as well.
We’d need to purchase Ideal Sans. Full font costs $743.52 NZD for one user. We could consider just getting the Medium Style, which would be $55.77 NZD per user. Just one user would be fine as I just create the logo with it and then transform the font in vectors for all the different logo file types that everyone else will use, eg. SVG, JPG, PNG, EPS.

I just wanted to get this to you as it is, as I’ll be away at least tomorrow and Wednesday.

Ngā mihi nui,

Wibke
