REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
Thank you for your request received 31 July 2015 under the Official Information Act 1982
(OIA) for information relating to thyroid medications. You have asked for information
relating to the criteria for subsidisation by the government.
We have interpreted your request for information relating to criteria, to refer to
PHARMAC’s Decision Criteria, an assessment tool we use to make funding decisions.
Part of the information you have requested in part one of your request, relating to the
years 1960, 1970, 1980 and 1990, is believed to be held by the Ministry of Health.
Accordingly, I am transferring this part of your request to the Ministry of Health under
Section 14(b)(i) of the OIA.
PHARMAC will provide a response to your request for information as soon as possible
and know later than the due date of 28 August 2015.
