Official Information Act request relating to speeches by DPMC staff at Intelligence 
Professionals conference 
 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on 23 August 
2024. You requested: 
 
“This request is for documents relating to the participation of DPMC staff at the recent 
New Zealand Institute of Intelligence Professionals annual conference 2024. 
I would like to request: 
ONE: For the speeches, addresses, etc made by Chief Executive Ben King, I would 
like to request copies of all speech notes, talking points and other presentation 
materials (e.g. PowerPoint slides) he used. 
TWO: For any other presentations, speeches, talks, addresses etc made by DPMC 
staff at this conference I would like to request copies of all speech notes, talking points 
and other presentation materials used by these staff.” 
 
Information being released 
Ben King, Chief Executive of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC), was 
the only person from DPMC to speak at the New Zealand Institute of Intelligence 
Professionals conference.
