Official information request for: "Learning Resources" spending. 
 
I refer to your official information request dated 17th September, 2024 for details of “how over $15 million is 
spent annually on Learning Resources.  Specifically, 
1. Information regarding what is classified as "Learning Resources", thus included in and funded by this budget. 
2. Details on any major projects or purchases made with this allocation in the past 3 (three) fiscal years.” 
 
The information you have requested is provided below. 
 
Our last three fiscal years of annual reports (2021, 2022, 2023) are published and are publicly accessible on 
our website; https://www.pakuranga.school.nz/governance/ 
 
Section 2 of each report contains our detailed and audited annual accounts.  Section 2(4) is "Learning 
Resources”, and a breakdown is provided for each line.  This budget consists of: 
 
* Curricular  
* Equipment Repairs 
* Information Communications Technology 
* Extra Curricular Activities 
* Library Resources 
* Employee Benefits - salaries 
* Depreciation 
 
Over the last three years the spending remains constant in each of these areas, and there have been no major 
projects or purchases outside of the usual day-to-day spending.  Employee benefits (salaries) are the most 
significant spend, and account for between 88% - 93% of the budget for "Learning Resources" over the last 
three years.
