Thank you for your email on 8 July 2024, asking Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora for the
following under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
1. A chart or diagram that illustrates the governance structure of the new Dunedin Hospital
project as of the 7th of July 2024.
2. A detailed list of the current members within this governance structure, including their
names, positions, and the departments or organisations they represent as of the 7th of July
2024.
3. Information regarding any independent roles or positions within this governance structure,
including:
- Names and positions of individuals designated as independent members.
- The criteria or measures in place to ensure these roles maintain independence.

For the sake of clarity, I will answer each question about the New Dunedin Hospital (NDH) in turn.

The Terms of Reference, signed by each steering group member, set clear expectations that the
members must be engaged and constructive in carrying out their role as members. To support
effective and efficient Project Steering Group meetings, the members are to provide constructive
and informed advice on their areas of expertise and experience and operate in an open and
transparent manner while maintaining confidentiality when required.
