Delay in making a decision on request for official information 
I have investigated and reviewed a delay by the Ruapehu District Council (the Council) to make a 
decision on Ms Crook’s request for official information. 
I have today formed the final opinion that the Council failed to meet the obligations imposed by 
the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.  
I enclose a copy of the letters to the Chief Executive of the Council, of 4 January 2024 and today’s 
date. These letters set out the opinion on the complaint and the recommendations I have made.
