Hi Lisa
We have made a couple of minor changes to the EMA Content below but otherwise comfortable. I have received approval from the Controller to send once the bdc website has been updated. I will give you a call to discuss to ensure you are comfortable with the proposed changes and process in about 10 min.
Kind Regards
Hamish

All good I would just remove the word ‘in’ as highlighted to make sure people don’t evacuate to the Domain.
Will you send to Hamish – I have ccd him here.
You see the map below that it will be sent to.

Hi Katherine
We propose the following I look forward to your response
WEST COAST CDEM: A local emergency has been declared for the whole of the Buller District. Authorities are asking people in the following areas to voluntarily evacuate Gladstone St and Russell St, Colvin St and Rintoul St and on Menzies St, Roebuck St, Bentham St, Disraeli St and in the Westport Domain area. If you see rising water do not wait for official warnings. Head for higher ground and stay away from floodwater. Go to friends and family or to evacuation centres at @ South School and Carters Beach Top Ten Holiday Park. Go to www.bdc.govt.nz for more information. Issued @Time@@ 16 July 2021.

Hi all
I have added the proposed EMA messaging for Buller River Flooding to the TRAINING and LIVE Systems and linked this to both the WestCoast and NEMA Groups. Please note that on sending a message we would need to capture the Vodafone tower to the SW of Westport as illustrated in the map below. This is just a custom area.
Kind regards
Hamish
WEST COAST CDEM: If you see rising water do not wait for official warnings. Head for higher ground and stay away from floodwater. Flooding is possible across Westport particularly near the intersection of Gladstone St and Russell St, Colvin St and Rintoul St and on Menzies St, Roebuck St, Bentham St, Disraeli St and in the Westport Domain area. Go to friends and family or to evacuation centres at @@Locations@@. Go to www.westcoastemergency.govt.nz for more information. Issued @@Time@@ @@dd@@ @@Month@@ @@Year@@.
