Request for information 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 22 May 2023. You 
requested: 
I would like all documents related to the release of footage from the Eagle 
helicopter to media organisations, specifically footage of a chase in St Heliers 
involving an e-scooter released on 16/02/2022 and footage of a laser incident 
that was broadcast on Newshub on 18/11/2021. This request would include 
documentation prior to the release, and documentation after the footage was 
released and broadcast. 
Police does not hold any documentation relating to your request. Therefore, your 
request has been refused under s18(e) of the OIA as the information requested does 
not exist. 
Please note that as part of its commitment to openness and transparency, Police 
proactively releases some information and documents that may be of interest to the 
public. An anonymised version of this response may be publicly released on the New 
Zealand Police website.
