I am writing to request a Traffic Crash Report and any associated photos
for an accident where a truck collided with a train at Norman Avenue,
Waingawa, railway crossing on or about 20 October 2017
Your request has been considered in accordance with the Official Information Act
1982, and if applicable the Privacy Act 2020.
All information that you requested has been withheld.
Every endeavour has been made to release the information requested, however
some information has been withheld for the following reasons:
• Section 9(2)(a) of the OIA – withholding the information is necessary to
protect the privacy of natural persons, including that of deceased natural
persons. Police considers that the interest requiring protection by
withholding the information is not outweighed by any public interest in its
release.
You have the right to ask the Privacy Commissioner and/or Ombudsman to
review my decision if you are not satisfied with Police's response to your request.
