[FYI request #21295 email]
Dear P.J. Golden
Thank you for your further email of 4 April 2023 relating to the digital wallet project. As with
your other requests, this request has been considered under the Of icial Information Act
1982 (OIA).
My response sent to you on 22 February 2023 outlined the evaluation process for the
projects funded through the Integrated Farm Planning (IFP) Accelerator Fund. It also advised
you that we withheld copies of the evaluations and assessments pursuant to sections
9(2)(b)(i ) and 9(2)(ba)(i) of the OIA.
I have considered whether the passage of time would enable us to make a different decision
on the release of that information. However, I believe the withholding grounds are stil
required.
My response sent to you on 4 April 2023 provided answers to the questions you had
regarding TANZ’s previous associate TrackBack, the evaluation process, and our decision to
fund TANZ to deliver the digital wallet project.
You have now raised a question whether TANZ has the technical knowledge to deliver a
digital wallet project without TrackBack. MPI remains satisfied that TANZ has the technical
ability and knowledge to deliver on its project.
MPI holds no additional relevant information about the evaluation process or TANZ, I now
consider this matter closed.
As with all requests for information, you have the right to raise any concerns with the Office
of the Ombudsman. Contact details are: Of ice of the Ombudsman, PO Box 10152,
Wellington 6143 or at
[email address].
Yours sincerely
