Request for information
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 26 November 2022, in
which you asked for information regarding the number of prosecutors in the Police
Prosecution Service.
My response to each part of your request can be found below.
1. The number of lawyers (i.e. not sworn officers) employed as prosecutors by
the New Zealand Police as at 1 July for the years 2017-2022; and
2. The number of sworn New Zealand Police staff members working as
prosecutors as at 1 July for the years 2017-2022.
