Thank you for your Official Information Act request to the Department of Conservation,
received on 09 November 2022 in which you asked for:

“any maps or info on Granted concessions to graze cattle downstream of the Main Highway
Bridge along the margins of the Paringa River STH Westland Haast”

On Tuesday 15 November you clarified (or refined) your request to be a map, and the
grazing concession licence conditions for the one concession in place downstream of the
State Highway bridge.

We have agreed to release the grazing licence including the map and conditions as listed

In making my decision, I have considered the public interest considerations in section 9(1) of

You are entitled to seek an investigation and review of my decision by writing to an
Ombudsman as provided by section 28(3) of the Official Information Act.
