Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act, asking for: 
 
The average Engineering (Honours) first-year Grade Point Average (GPA) of students in the 
Engineering Part II program, for each specialization, for those undertaking part II in the 
years 2019, 2020, and 2021. 
 
 
AUT does not have a Part I / Part II structure in our Bachelor of Engineering Honours 
programme. So, to find a way to answer your question, we have interpreted students in Part 
I  as anyone in that programme who was studying papers at Level 6 (second year) or higher 
in 2019, 2020, or 2021. We then calculated the average of those students’ GPAs in the core 
Level 5 (first year) papers of the Bachelor of Engineering Honours, by major.
