Happy Monday!

It's Angus Watson here from Crimson Education, I emailed a month ago to let you know about our amazing Te Ara a Kupe Beaton Scholarship and I have another amazing upcoming opportunity for you to share with the students of your school:

The Uber Global Hackathon!
Uber Global Hackathon is the world’s first-ever virtual, global hackathon for high school students. Brought to you by Uber and Crimson Education, this competition provides ambitious students the opportunity to put their skills to the test and solve real-world problems with technology. Students work in teams to ‘hack’ innovative solutions in one of our two competition categories: Coding or UX Design/Product Development. Along the way, students get access to exclusive skill-based workshops, compete to win fantastic prizes, and explore different career paths with industry experts. And the best part? No coding experience required!

Who: Students ages 13-18
What: Work in teams of 2-3 to ‘hack’ innovative solutions in one of our two competition categories:

Coding (Basic coding/CS experience required)
or
Design/Product Development (No coding experience required)

When:
June 11th - July 30th (early bird registrations close May 18th)

This event, powered by Uber and Crimson is usually at a cost of US$7.50 to register but in order to help encourage the best and brightest students across New Zealand to apply, I've managed to convince the Uber team to gift us a code offering FREE registration to this epic event for all NZ high schools. Encourage your students that are keen to apply to use the code "UBER-NZ100" and the registration fee will be waived completely.

I've attached some more information to this email and you can click the linked title above to check out the web page. This is an amazing opportunity for your students to compete globally and I really hope you can share this with them! Reach out if you have any questions for me :)

Have a great week!
Angus
