and The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI). 
 
MPI wil  not be able to respond within the timeframe set out in the Of icial Information Act 
1982 (OIA) because your request necessitates a search through a large quantity of 
information. In addition, consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are 
such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the normal 20 working day 
time limit. 
 
Therefore, pursuant to section 15A(1)(a) and 15A(1)(b) of the OIA, MPI is extending the 
timeframe to reply to your request. You can expect a response by no later than 15 December 
2022, earlier if possible.
