Re: Auckland Council and NZ Initiative 
 
Thank you for your email dated 26 September 2022, in which you requested information about 
Auckland Council and NZ Initiative Think Tank. The specific details of your request and our 
response are below. 
 
“Please provide me with all correspondence with or regarding the NZ Initiative for the 
last  12  months.  Please  also  provide  all  payments  to,  funding  and  in  kind  support 
provided  to  the  NZ  Initiative  for  each  of  the  last  five  financial  years,  indicating  the 
purpose of the funding. Finally, please provide me with any reports or other material 
describing  or  evaluating  the  benefits  that  Auckland  Council  receives  for  this 
investment.” 
 
Auckland Council does not have a vendor called “NZ Initiative” or New Zealand Initiative”. We 
can therefore confirm that Auckland Council holds no correspondence with “The New Zealand 
Initiative” and no monies have been paid to “The New Zealand Initiative”.
