Extension of time to response to request made under the Official Information Act 1982 
 
Thank you for your email of 19September 2022 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act):  
 
I would like to request two documents which are referenced in Waka Kotahi’s response to 
Movement’s request to reconsider a trial of lane real ocation on the AHB:

This letter is to advise that Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is extending the 20 working days 
available to us to respond to your request, as allowed for under section 15A of the Act. We require an 
additional 10 working days and wil  send you a response on or before 2November 2022.  
 
The deadline is being extended because of the consultation necessary to make a decision on your 
request, meaning that a proper response to your request cannot reasonably be made within the 20-
working day limit. 
 
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to 
extend this request. The contact details for the Ombudsman can be located at 
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz.
