Request made under the Official Information Act 1982
Thank you for your email of 22 August 2022 requesting the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act). I wil address each of your queries in turn:
[…] Please provide me with official information & ful disclosure showing, detailing, authorising,
that the corporation NZTA known as "waka kotahi" are the lawful owners of the whenua of Mt
Messenger.
Land Information New Zealand holds property records such as Titles, Survey plans or other
instruments and this information is publicly available at:
https://lrs.linz.govt.nz/search/.
I am therefore refusing this part of your request under section 18(d) of the Act as the information
requested is publicly available.
And provide official information of your whakapapa to Mt Messenger, and documentation that
wil prove your right to the whenua.
I am refusing this part of your request under section 18(e) of the Act as the document al eged to
contain the information requested does not exist.
Provide clauses from Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and He Whakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga o Nu
Tireni, constitution, that wil inform tangata whenua that you have lawful authority to occupy the
land in order to cut all the trees down.
Al legislation that applies to Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is publicly available on
https://legislation.govt.nz/. As such, I am refusing this part of your request under section 18(d) of the
Act as the information is publicly available.
And provide official information of the law, that gives the corporation known as "waka kotahi" the
full authority to cut into a living breathing organism, cal ed WHENUA.

https://legislation.govt.nz/. As such, I am refusing this part of your request under section 18(d) of the
Act as the information is publicly available.
Provide information of the agenda 20/30, or information of the Road & belt project, which
tangata whenua have not been consulted about […]
Waka Kotahi is not part of the Belt and Road Initiative. I am therefore refusing this part of your request
under section 18(g) of the Act as the information requested is not held by Waka Kotahi.
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to refuse
