Thank you for your email of 15 August 2022, to Kāinga Ora Homes and 
Communities, requesting the following information under the Official Information Act 
1982 (the Act): 
 
 
1.  Where are social housing sites planned for the suburbs of New Lynn, 
Kelston, Glen Eden, Glendene and Sunnyvale; and  
2.  What is planned for those addresses 
 
 
As of 31 July 2022, Kāinga Ora has 142 new houses contracted or under 
construction for the suburbs of New Lynn, Kelston, Glen Eden, Glendene and 
Sunnyvale (details below):

There are an additional 176 houses currently in planning or feasibility stages in these 
suburbs. We are unable to provide any further details of these projects due to  
ongoing negotiations and they may be subject to change. In the future however, 


once decisions have been finalised we may publish properties for these suburbs on 
our website. 
  
Therefore, we are withholding the addresses and details to this part of your request, 
pursuant to section 9(2)(j) of the Act, to enable a Minister of the Crown or any public 
service agency or organisation holding the information to carry on, without prejudice 
or disadvantage, negotiations (including commercial and industrial negotiations).
