Information Request – Call out statistic from 2019-2021 including types of fire, injuries and causes
I refer to your official information request dated 1 August 2022 asking for the following
information
.
“I would like to request Fire Service summary for all incident call outs from 2019 to 2021,
yearly, for the whole of New Zealand.
I would like the figures to show cause of fire, type of fire, injuries and fatalities.”
On 7 August 2022 you later clarified your request by providing the following details:
“I want fire related incidents only and the Fire Service summary for all incidents received.”
In accordance with the provisions of the Official Information Act 1982, I
enclose the information
you requested. We have provided the data for call outs by type of fire, and the data for incidents
attended by cause of fire.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
