Thank you for your email of 22 July 2022 to the Department of Internal Affairs requesting 
information relating to the Three Waters Reform Programme under the Official Information 
Act 1982 (the Act). On the 5 August 2022, you refined your request to the following:

The Department is extending the time available to respond to your request under section 
15A(1)(b) of the Act, as consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such 
that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. 
The timeframe for response has been extended by 20 working days to 30 September 2022. 
The Department will endeavour to provide you with a response prior to this date, if possible. 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review of our decision by the Ombudsman 
under section 28(3) of the Act. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
