Official Information Act 1982 request: Al  times 'Whangarei' is mentioned in Cabinet 
papers from date beginning 26 October 2017 
 
Thank you for your email of 2 July 2022 to the Cabinet Office regarding your Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act) request, the scope of which you clarified on 25 July 2022 as 
follows: 
 
Al  documents and Cabinet papers mentioning Whangarei in relation to infrastructure 
and health funding decisions from the 26 October 2017 to present. 
 
On 24 August 2022, the Cabinet Office transferred the part of your request concerning the 
Justice portfolio to me in accordance with section 14(b)(i ) of the Act, as that part was more 
closely connected to my ministerial functions.  
 
I have interpreted the scope of your request as fol ows: 
 
Cabinet papers and minutes relating to funding decisions taken by Cabinet between 
26 October 2017  and  2  July  2022  on  Justice  infrastructure  in  Whangārei  (or 
Whangarei). 
 
I can confirm that there are no Cabinet papers or minutes that would fall within the scope of 
your request. Therefore, it is refused under section 18(d) of the Act, as the information does 
not exist.
