, you emailed the Ministry of Social Development (the
Ministry) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the
following information:
1. May I ask how many applications you have received and how many you
have shortlisted.
2. The pay rate for Community Representatives on the Collective Impact
Board.
3. Do you received any nominations from any government's nomination
service, if you did, from which agency.
4. Also, "The selection panel make a final decision which is sent to the
Minister for endorsement." May I kindly have the name of people who
on the selection panel? Their Bio if available.
The Collective Impact Board was established on 25 May 2021 and is made up
of agency and community representatives to guide ongoing support services
for the families and individuals affected by the Christchurch mosque attacks.
The Board was established in line with recommendation 26 of the Royal
Commission of Inquiry report. The Collective Impact Board provides advice and
recommendations to the Kaiwhakaoranga Service to help inform the wrap
around services and support provided to the affected community.

For the sake of clarity, I will address your questions in turn.
1. May I ask how many applications you have received and how many you
have shortlisted.
The Ministry received 10 applications from individuals, and of those 10,
recommended four people be appointed to the vacant positions on the
Collective Impact Board.
2. The pay rate for Community Representatives on the Collective Impact
Board.
Community representatives do not receive a pay rate, however, they receive
a board fee. The board fee consists of
$197.50 (including GST) to prepare for
and attend a scheduled half-day Board meeting, and $395.00 (including GST)
to prepare for and attend a scheduled full-day Board meeting.

3. Do you received any nominations from any government nomination
service, if you did, from which agency.
The Ministry did not receive any nominations from any government Agency.
Current members had the option to re-sit on the Board until May 2023. A small
number of members will not be sitting for a second term which has created
vacant positions. These vacant positions are filled through self-nominations
and not via nominating other people.
4. Also, "The selection panel make a final decision which is sent to the
Minister for endorsement." May I kindly have the name of people who
on the selection panel? Their Bio if available.
Diane McDermott, Nick Tolan, Hamimah Ahmat and Hisham Eldai are the four
people on the selection panel.
