I refer to your email of 9 June 2022 in which you request the following under the Official
Information Act 1982 (OIA):
1) A copy of the Pacific Reset Advisory group’s terms of reference and membership
list
2) For all meetings held by the group, the dates that these meetings were held
3) If there is an equivalent group for the Pacific Resilience strategy I would like to
request a copy of their terms of reference and membership as well, and the dates that
all meetings of this group were held
On Friday 8 July 2022 we advised that we needed to extend the timeframe to respond to your
request, by 20 working days.
On Friday 5 August 2022 you were advised we made the decision to release information to you
in relation to parts 1 and 2 of your request, and that part 3 of your request for information was
refused under Section 18(e) of the OIA, as the information does not exist
Please find the below answers to your queries:
1) A copy of the group’s terms of reference and membership list
The Pacific Reset Group was an informal grouping initiated by the group members and co-
ordinated by the Council for International Development. This group included the Pasifika
community, NGOs and academic representatives. The Terms of Reference has been released to
you in full and is attached.
As is stated in the Terms of Reference, "The intention is that the membership of the group
remain fluid, to enable it to usefully respond to the Pacific Reset programme". Below is a list
of Group Members who attended meeting(s) from 2018 – 2020 with the Minister and/or
Parliamentary Undersecretary.
