I refer to your email of 9 June 2022 in which you request the following under the Official
Information Act 1982 (OIA):
1) A copy of the group’s terms of reference and membership list
2) For all meetings held by the group, the dates that these meetings were held
3) If there is an equivalent group for the Pacific Resilience strategy I would like to
request a copy of their terms of reference and membership as well, and the dates that all
meetings of this group were held
On Friday 8 July 2022 we advised that we needed to extend the timeframe to respond to your
request, by 20 working days.
A decision has been made to release the following information to you in relation to part 1 and
2 of your request:
• The terms of reference for the Pacific Reset Group
• A list of members of the Pacific Reset Group; and
• The dates of meetings MFAT officials have attended
These documents will be provided you as soon as reasonably practicable.
Regarding part 3 of your request, we can confirm there is not an equivalent group for the
Pacific Resilience Strategy. Therefore, we are refusing this part of your request under Section
18(e) of the OIA as the information does not exist.
If you have any questions about this decision, you can contact us by email at:
