Official information request for a copy of the Drinking water Safety Plan.
I write regarding your official information request dated Wednesday, 1 June 2022 for
a copy of the Wel ington Water Drinking Water Safety Plan.
On Monday, 13 June 2022 Wel ington Water sent a scope clarification request to
your FYI email inbox. Fol owing that request you responded on Monday, 27 June
2022. We sent a further email on Tuesday, 28 June 2022 to endeavour to understand
what part of the plan you required. We have not received any response to that email
nor any communication that specifies the scope of your request.
In the absence of any scope clarification from you, and because of the sensitive
nature of the plan, we are refusing your request unde
r Section 6 (b) of the Act

Conclusive reasons for withholding official information
Good reason for withholding official information exists, for the purpose of Section6,
if the making available of that information would be likely—
a) to prejudice the maintenance of the law, including the prevention,
investigation, and detection of offences, and the right to a fair trial; or
b) to endanger the safety of any person.
You are welcome to re-submit your request with further clarity on the scope.
