Thank you for your email dated 30 May 2022, in which you requested information about the 
Kantar Public independent research survey on the council's preliminary response to the NPS-
UD. The specific details of your request and our response are below. 
 
“Please send me the methodology and complete set of results for the Kantar Public 
independent research survey on the council's preliminary response to the NPS-UD, 
excluding and personally identifiable information, such as names or addresses.” 
 
Please find attached the research report by Kantar Public for the National Policy Statement 
on Urban Development 2020 and 2021 amendments to the Resource Management Act – 
Public Opinion Survey. Included in this report are the results of the survey. The methodology 
for the research can be found on page 6. From page 40 onwards, there are full details of the 
sample profile including details such as gender, age, ethnicity, household size, household 
income, and local board. The report is also published online and can be found here, on the 
right side of the page, and below the timeline.  
 
While there is raw data from the survey available, some of the fields wil  require technical 
expertise and research background to understand. We have therefore provided the top-line 
results of the survey in the Excel sheet which include the full data set presented in clear-cut
