Official Information Act request for advice received by Minister Henare 
 
Thank  you  for  your  Official  Information  Act  1982  (the  Act)  request,  which  was  partially 
transferred to the  Department  of the  Prime  Minister  and  Cabinet  (DPMC)  on  27 May  2022. 
The following paper was transferred to DPMC for a decision to be made on its release: 
 
•  Aide  Memoire:  Russia-Ukraine  -  a  long  term  problem  for  the  international 
community dated 1 April 2022 
 
I have decided to withhold this aide-memoire in full under section 6(a) of the Act, as to make 
the information available would be likely to prejudice the security or defence of New Zealand 
or the international relations of the Government of New Zealand. 
 
You  have  the  right  to  ask  the  Ombudsman  to  investigate  and  review  my  decision  under 
section 28(3) of the Act. 
 
This response will not be published on the Department of the Prime Minister  and Cabinet’s 
website during our regular publication cycle.
