Official Information Act request relating to the RCOI Response Steering Group 
 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on 11 May 2022. 
You requested: 
 
1)           “A copy of the [RCOI Response Steering Group] terms of reference 
2)            The group’s membership list 
3)            Copies of the agenda and minutes of all of the group’s meetings” 
 
The  Terms  of  Reference  for  the  RCOI  Response  Steering  Group  (the  Group)  and  the 
minutes  of  all  meetings  held  by  the  Group  are  intended  to  be  publicly  released  on  the 
Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s website by the middle of June 2022. These 
will be made available at: dpmc.govt.nz/our-programmes/national-security/royal-commission-
inquiry-terrorist-attack-christchurch-masjidain  
 
While the information proposed for release will not include the meeting agendas, the minutes 
are structured in such a way that the agendas are replicated within the minutes. Please also 
note that a list of the Group’s membership is included in the Terms of Reference.  
 
Therefore,  I  am  refusing  your  request  under  section  18(d)  of  the  act  as  the  information 
requested will soon be publicly available.  
 
We  do  not  intend  to  publish  this  response  on  the  Department  of  the  Prime  Minister  and 
Cabinet’s website.
