Can you please tell me how many teachers across each sector:
Early Childhood Education
Primary School (Years 0-8)
Post Primary School ( Years 9-13)
have been subject to a mandatory report to the teachers council subsequent to dismissal for not
complying with the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021, as of 1st of May 2022.
We have considered your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) and I can advise as
follows.
As of 1 May 2022, the number of mandatory reports received by Teaching Council subsequent to
a dismissal for not complying with the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Orders 2021
are as follows:

As you may be aware, submission of a mandatory report following a teacher’s dismissal (for any reason)
is required by section
489 of the Education and Training Act 2020.
