Thank you for your follow up request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) on 25
April 2022 for vacancy information under consideration by the Ministry of Health (the Ministry) or
relevant Minister. You specifically requested:
“I have made a request earlier this year, ref: H202115062
May I request an update information of my previous request, my original questions are
A list of vacancy (ministerial appointment only, e.g. board member, Lay member, Trustee
etc) that the nomination period has been closed but still under consideration by the MoH
or relevant Minister.”
Please refer to the attached Appendix 1 which includes the 2021 vacancies advertised that are
now closed, but still under consideration by the Ministry. This appendix provides a list of
vacancies advertised between 22 April 2022 and 23 May 2022. You can find information on
recent appointments at

Please note:
•
Dietitians Board: The vacancies were readvertised on 16 December 2021 to consolidate
appointments for expired members and terms with upcoming term expires.
•
Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board: The vacancies were readvertised on 16
December 2021 to consolidate appointments for expired members and terms with
upcoming term expires.
•
Medical Council: The vacancies were readvertised on 22 April 2022 to consolidate
appointments for expired members and terms with upcoming term expires.
•
Occupational Therapy Board: Currently
finalising the two health practitioner
appointments from 2021.
•
The Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal: Two multiple rounds of vacancies were
advertised as there was not a sufficient pool of applicants in the first round of
advertisements to proceed with a round of appointments.
• Vacancies advertised for the
Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act 2003
Responsible Authorities, the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal, the Ethics
Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology, and the National Ethics Advisory
Committee closed on 23 May 2022, therefore the number of candidates is currently
unavailable.
