Information Request –- Local Area Committee Outputs 
 
I refer to your official information request dated 06 April 2022 asking for copies of the local and 
regular advice to Fire and Emergency on national strategy, local issues and local planning as 
submitted to date by each of the seven LACs that have been established. 
Your request is being assessed in accordance with the provisions of the Official Information Act 
1982, which requires that we advise you of our decision no later than 20 working days after the date 
received. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit and we are therefore writing 
to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to 6 June 2022. 
The reason for the extension is that consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are 
such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. However, we 
will endeavour to respond before that date. 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
